BPSC Exam Row: Tejashwi Yadav Blames Prashant Kishor & Party For 'Misleading' Aspirants After Clashes With Police

As the row over the BPSC exam escalates, RJD's Tejaswi Yadav has accused Prashant Kishor and his newly formed political outfit of "misleading" the aspirants.

Students protesting the BPSC exam were dispersed with the use of water cannons on Sunday. The protests turned violent, resulting in the police resorting to lathi charge to disperse the crowds.

In a dig towards the Jan Suraaj Party, the RJD leader also accused Kishor and his party of acting like Nitish Kumar's "B-Team".

In a video message on Sunday, the RJD deputy said - "This movement was started by students. The nearly two week-long dharna at Gardani Bagh, where I also had gone recently, had caused the government to tremble. At this moment, came some elements acting as the government's B team."

The Bandh call has been given by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha - both organisations have been at the forefront of the ongoing farmer protests for a legal guarantee on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops.

In a statement ahead of the bandh, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher clarified that the shutdown was being observed strictly for 9 hours, from 7 AM to 4 PM. He assured that emergency services, such as medical services, would continue to function normally, and exceptions would be made for essential travel, including airport trips, job interviews, or family events like weddings.
